Robot's solution just got solved in 0.38 seconds!!!!-hearttouch0929
MIT created a robot world record to solve Rubik's Cube. It was just 0.38 seconds to fix it. Its previous record was 0.637 seconds, which is also a robot's achievement.
The robot has created two MIT graduate students. Ben Castz, a mechanical engineering student, and another electrical engineering and computer science student, Jared de Carlo. A press release from MIT revealed that they were interested in creating a new robot by looking at an error in the previous record holder robot. It was created by German engineer Albert Beer.
De Carlo said in a statement, "We have watched the videos of the previous robots and have targeted that the motors used there are not the fastest ones. There is a chance to use a motor faster than it. We thought we could do better by arranging better motor and control. "
Katz and De Carlo add six metal rods to grab six dice of the cube with a new type of motor design. The arrangement for sending the images to the nearest computer through two webcams. Detecting the color difference from that picture solves the cube through the already connected algorithm.
Although the finger of human hands is not so fast, the Rubik Cub Solution record is also very good to turn around. Suwambam Cho, the record holder, who solved the Rubik Cube in only 4.59 seconds. The previous record that broke the previous record in 2007, was more than a tenth of a second! [Based on live science]
